About En Famille International
Bringing families together since 1978, EFI is a French non-profit governed by parents with first-hand exchange experience and coordinated by our staff. We maintain local representatives in the UK.
En Famille International is a French non-profit based in Brittany. It was founded on a simple idea: the best way to learn another language and culture is to live it as part of a family, not through a language school or group trip.
Parent-Governed
EFI is governed by parents who have completed exchanges themselves. Their experience ensures we remain true to our founding principles.
People On The Ground
A central team, headed by our professional director Céline Kline, works with local representatives in each participating country.
Never Outsourced
EFI does not outsource its exchanges to third-party agencies. Every exchange is run by the association itself.

Vania
UK Representative
Vania represented EFI at the Parapluie FLAM Training Day at the French Institute in Kensington, and is our London-based ambassador.
Heather
UK Representative
Heather is EFI’s Manchester-based representative working alongside Vania to interview, visit and support UK families.
Céline Kline
Director
Céline has led En Famille International since August 2025. A former teacher of French as a foreign language, she founded Frenchips, a French language-immersion non profit, and previously led the reciprocal Aventuro France exchange programme at Mobiliteen, Vannes.
She also has a close personal connection with the UK. Céline is bilingual in English, is married to a British citizen, and completed two school exchanges in England during the 1980s. She brings both professional expertise and first-hand experience to the exchanges she oversees.
